Honors Lounge and Library Privileges

Active Honors College students enjoy exclusive access to the honors study lounge and computer lab in the basement of historic Old Central, a room that served as the Chemistry lab at Oklahoma A&M College in the 1890s. Twelve computer workstations are available for student use and require an honors designation on the students' OSU ID to access them. Free printing is available for academic purposes, and the entire Old Central building is wi-fi enabled.

Our students appreciate that the honors lounge is a quiet place to work and study, tucked away on the corner of campus. Hours for the lounge and lab are 8:00-5:00, Monday through Friday. Students are also able to gain 24 hour access to this study space by requesting a uniquely coded key fob.

Active Honors College students also enjoy extended check-out privileges from Edmon Low Library, equivalent to those given to graduate students at OSU (120 days). Whether a faculty member suggests some additional readings, you are working on a long-term project, or there are books you'd like to read casually over the course of the semester, your extended loan periods from the Library's main collection will be an added convenience.
